it's a brand new day.

And a brand new blog. Well, not entirely.

If you're joining me via my old blog of the same title, thanks for making the jump. If you're new, welcome.

If you are a familiar stalker follower, you are well aware that I have been an absent blogger for the past - eh - month ... or two ... or three? Life has been busy and has completely devoided me of what I so call 'blogger brain.' And if I ever did think in blog language, I never had time to actually write it down.

So, I debated. Delete blog? Say goodbye to this lovely piece of my life as just a memory?

Well, I'm here. So the answer is obviously - no. There are too many blonde moments to be shared. I am starting fresh and - I hope - fabulous. Get ready for the ride.

If you're a newbie, here's a run-down and a bit of background to get you caught up:

I'm a small town girl born for the big(ger) city. Played softball in jelly-bellies and forever sealed my fate as a non-athlete (sorry, dad). Made my dance recital debut at age two and to continue the trend in making my parents wonder if I'd ever find my niche, I sat and sucked my thumb the entire time. Shocking truth? Dance is one of my greatest passions. Survived high school. Loved college. Wore high heels at work ... at the gym. All of my roommates were in nursing school. Swore I'd never be a nurse. Graduated. Moved to Chicago. Lived and loved life there. Moved back to homestate. Apparently, I really loved college. Returned to college. Enter ironic twist - started nursing school. Decided to complete said nursing school in 12 months. I may be crazy. Fell in love with nursing. In another ironic twist, I now wear scrubs and tennis shoes most days of the week. That was May 1, 2009. You do the math. I graduate (again) in 20 days. I'm an unnatural, natural blonde. I desperately want to make a difference in this life and world our God has created.

Child of God. Daughter. Sister. Auntie. Friend. Granddaughter. Cousin. Niece. (soon-to-be) Nurse. These are the roles I value the most.

I'm starting a new chapter and the pages are completely blank. No words. Just a blank slate. Exciting and terrifying at the same time. If history is any indication, the story will be unpredictable and full of excitement - and, of course - blonde moments.

Thanks for joining me :)
